That's certainly an interesting thought Andy. The claim is that these kind of automobiles are more and more "software driven", so software updates should be able to allow them to be more "like new". However, the same could be said to smartphones, but I see phone constantly getting new phones, almost yearly.

Maybe there's something that can be put into the business model to at least allow environmental friendly "recycling" or "renewing" of used cars.
